I took my 19 year old cousin to see the show on Monday night.
I just have to say that Bernadette had one of the best performances out of the 11 I have seen on Monday.
She was so into it and so in perfect voice that she took some of the notes higher than ever. During Some people she took" But not Rose" Higher and more powerful then ever before. Even the conductor shook his head yes with a big smile.
Everyone was buzzing in the audience during intermission. People were so into it.
I am so glad I was there.

Additionally, it was my cousins first Broadway show and well lets just say we can add another Bernadette fan to the list.

LOL I have cousins coming in from Scotland at the end of October and they have never seen a Broadway show. I'm desperately trying to convince my parents to take them to see Gypsy because it just is Broadway. Besides, I wouldn't mind tagging along to see it again. It would be my 9th time.  LOL

My parents are coming for a visit at the beginning of November. I was happy that without too much coaching from me, they chose to see Gypsy. I think that will be my 11th time.

Wow that's awesome! I hope I get to see the show again, it would be my 2nd time, you have no idea how jealous of everyone that I am!!!

It's so wonderful to hear that Bernadette is working so hard, and infusing so much into the role. I have not seen the show for awhile, and will not get back until November. But I have heard from so many people who have said that her performances in recent weeks have been spectacular. Which only serves to make me question the origin of all these "wanting out of her contract" rumors. I recently spoke to someone who has seen the show 5 times, roughly once per month since the opening, and he said he has seen improvement with each subsequent show.
