I know that I am not the youngest fan by far, but I think I know someone who is. He started by not being able to pronouce her name when he was 2 years old, and now, 3 years later, can sing almost every song on the GYPSY cast recording (except "You Gotta Get A Gimmick") and requests to watch the Cinderella "with Bernadette Peters in it". This person is of course, my 5 year old brother, Alex. When he was 3 he would say how he was going to marry Bernadette, and I always wanted to tell her that but never got around to it. Just thought I'd share!

Awww! That is soo great! I too have a five year old brother who loves her. But his older 9 year old brother loves her more. It got so bad that my dad forbid me to let him watch anything else Bernadette because he wouldn't shut up about her. In trying to convince him to take piano lessons I had to tell him that Bernadette knows how to play. My lil sister is also completely obsessed with her. She said to me one day (she's 10) "Wow sissy! Bernadette Peters is waaay better than Britney Spears!" I thought that was hillarious but very strong coming from a 10 year old girl.

Awww I love hearing when little kids like Bernadette.
I used to put Into the Woods and Cinderella on for the kids I would babysit. LOL Unfourtunately Bernadette didn't play the nicest characters in those 2 movies; but they were age-appropriate.  The kids did love the way she sang though.

I didn't become a Bernadette fan until I was 16 (I'm 18 now).

Yea I didn't become a fan until I was 12, and I'm 16 now. It's so weird how I always knew who Bernadette was (but not by name, if I looked at her I thought I knew who she was lol), and when I saw AGYG I said "Isn't she from Cinderella?" Lol funny stuff...

I liked her when I was little (like 4 years old). I used to watch Annie because she was in it; but I wasn't a really big fan until I was like 14.
