You guys are not dorks! (I'm saying this because most everything you guys like, and call yourselves dorks for, I also like). I'm a Sex and the City freak as well and I too always thought Mr. Big was named for the show...But since you love it so much, that will be MY reason to call you that Brian. Seinfeld is another favorite show of mine as well. I looooove Kramer! He's just the funniest. My stepmother actually looks just like Julia Loius Dreyfus, it's uncanny.

Some more faves of mine: Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, Linda Eder, Michael Ball, Hunter Foster, Sutton Foster, Audrey Hepburn.

I also loooove Billy Joel and Elton John.

Alright, enough about me!

Bump it with a trumpet!

Ooooh! I like this game! Good idea!

I'm Rachel Elizabeth, I'm 15 and a sophomore in high school. I live right outside of Chicago and go into the city whenever I can. I'm going on the 17th, in fact, to see "Chicago" and again on the 24th to see "Mamma Mia."

I love Broadway (duh) and Bernadette, of course. I haven't actually *seen* her LOL unlike most of you, but I look forward to seeing Gypsy this spring.

Like Vallerie and Christine (I took notes I love the Nanny and Fran Drescher. She's hilarious. I also am a big X-Files fan. (Seasons 8&9? What's that? They stopped at 7.)

In the future, I'm looking to attending college at- surprise- NYU and double majoring in performance theatre and vocal music. After that, I plan to try Broadway. (Another huge surprise, eh?)

I have two dogs, Missy (mutt) and Snickers (Golden Retriever). I also have two brothers who can count as dogs. I have a fish named Gunther who is now recovering from his strip down the drain. I was cleaning his bowl and I kind of dropped him down the sink which is where my garbage disposal is, so there are blades, and yeah. But he's okay. He's alive. LOL Not that you all care, but i felt like sharing.

AHHH, cool! More X Files fans. (And Kim, don't worry. Most of the people who post ay my message board didn't like season 8 either.) Here's the link, in case you ever decide to come around.

http://community.idealistshaven.com/forums/index.php?s=

There are lots of forums to choose from, and some great people to talk to. (Here's another "I'm a great big giant dork" fact about me: I write X-Files fanfiction.)

Molly: one of these days, you have to get out to a club. Dancing is one of my favorite fun activities. To beat the price (cover can be expensive) what you need to do is find out when "ladies night" is. Usually on those nights, cover is waived for women, or else it's highly discounted. And sometimes, drinks are also discounted or free. (Well, you're under 21 right now so that won't mean much, but it will in a few years. lol.) IM me if you ever need a club buddy. I haven't been to one in what seems like forever. And I really want to check out what NY has to offer. Woo!

***************
Regis: And look at all this hair. My God. That's a lot of hair. Look at this. How does hair get this way?
Bernadette: Um.. it sort of grew out of my head like this.

Thanks for complimenting teachers (in an earlier post)! I am a HUGH HUGE HUGE "Sex and the City" fan so my "mrbig" screen name is partially connected to that fact. Even though I really am a "Mr. Big" in real life!!! Some of my friends think I kind of look like Chris Noth, just younger. I don't see the resemblance, but I still take it as a HUGE compliment. I love Madeline Kahn, too. I got my first cat in 1993 and named her Madeline because I thought she just looked like a Madeline. I then got my second cat in 1995 and he was so big and massive that I thought he needed a BIG name. Kahn seemed to fit because that sounds sort of powerful...and it also was an homage to Madeline Kahn. Of course, Kahn turned out to be a really big wimp of cat. VERY SWEET, but very much a baby. So Kahn eventually became Kahnzie. Now you know more than you ever wanted to know about my cats!!! I am having fun reading about all of these people who were just screen names before. Good idea!

Christine: I read Carol Burnett's "One More Time" last year. Isn't it amazing??

My name is Sarah Kate (that's my first and middle name, not all one name, although my friend says I should hyphenate them if I decide to pursue a carreer on stage) My mom wanted to name her first girl that since she was a teenager, and she somehow convinced Dad that my name was his idea. Sarah for my great grandmother and Kate for Kate Kapshaw (LOL!).

I'm on the company at my local dance studio, and this year I'll be dancing almost nine hours a week.

I'm a junior in highschool and I'll be 17 in 19 days! I used to be on the drill team at the school, but I was kind of run off of it and then the director of the team was fired. Good times...Good times.

I like to act, sing, dance, read (if you like fantasy, try any of Robin McKinley's novels and Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith, write (one of my poems was published once!), and do pretty much all of the arts and crafts that I know of.
I have four dogs. Tiffy is a german shepherd-collie mix, Panda is a chow mix, Kapu (named from Julie of the Wolves, I was addicted to that series when we got him) is a pointer mix, and Scout is a rat terrier.
I also have four cats: Daphne (named from the greek myth, not Frasier, in my opinion), Oliver (named from Oliver Twist) Ebby, and an unknown that my dad found in the road last week. I want to name her Gwenivere, but they don't like it. If you have a suggestion for a good, literary, feminine sounding name...please suggest it to me.

I played the flute for a year and then I realized that woodwinds don't do well for those of us with asthma. I also semi-play the guitar and I can figure some things out on the piano (I've never had a lesson and I'm not very good).

I live in Texas (no, not a cowgirl, don't live on a ranch, don't have an accent, and don't usually wear my cowboy hat) and I am still trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do with my life. I have this dream about doing a children's show on public television (like lamb chop or mr. rogers) but I don't know if that's going to happen. I hope it does....

I also really want to be a character in Disney World lol! I'm 5'1", does that mean I could be Wendy? What size do they usually cast Belle as? (I really look a lot like her, or so other people have said.)
I've said a lot and my fingers are tired. If you want, email me at redhair_greeneyes2005@yahoo.com (my red hair is dyed, it's normally a mousy brown that's almost gray...don't like it at all, if it was just a bit darker...ah well)

Mr Big! I think we are kindred spirits! I also have a preoccupation with Madeline Khan. I was just watching Clue tonight! (White hot flames....flames burning!...White hot flames...burning my cheeks) Heh heh.

OOOK, since we are talking names...My full name is...

Vallerie Austin Jenson Paulin

Most of this is my mother's fault. My dad named me Vallerie and it's his fault that it's spelled with two "L's". I was born at 3am so he was tired and when the nurse asked him how to spell it he yawned and accidently said "L" twice and that's how she wrote it down. I don't like my last name for show biz so if I make it I'm changing it. I want to go by "Vallerie Austin" with Austin being my last name. What do you guys think? Heh, if I make it I can say that you guys helped me pick a name!

Bump it with a trumpet!

Christine - I know I need a back up lol. I could always write books or something. But if being a director doesn't work out, I would really just like to work in the business. Being a stage manager or something like that would be great.

Hey Guys....what a great idea! Well.....

Name: Christopher Raymond Mecca(Chris is fine!)

Hometown: Rahway, New Jersey but my dad got transfered to Virginia, when I was 4

Family: I have a mom(nurse) dad(biomedical engineer) Older sister(Junior in High School) and an younger brother(6th grader)

Pets: Well, I have 2 dogs! Willy(westie) and Noel(mixed terrier) I used to have some fish and stuff.....but they are long gone LOL

My Interest: Well let see! I have been taking voice since I was 7. Dance since I was 8. And like most of you want to someday make it to Broadway! "Heck, I'll play the maid, to be in a show!"
I also swam for 11 years!! I was ranked sixth in the state of Virginia for 2 events! Swimming started to take over my life, and so I decided to quit last season! My mom was kinda upset!! I am a freshman in High School and am having a lot of fun!!

School: I am very active in and out of school! I am a Natural Helper, SADD(students against destructive decicions) SCA Officer, I also represent my school, to our School Board! I attend Cave Spring High School, and our mascot is the Knight!~ Last year in middle school I was nominated as the Squire(Knight in training! It is the highest honor recieved by a male student) 6 other people were nominated, and the teachers/faculty vote on Character, Academics, Loyalty, Respect, and other things! Well anyways i was voted the Squire for that year!

Dream: Like i said above i want to make it to Broadway! I know that, that is the only place I belong! I would like to attend, NYU, Carnegie-Mellon, Indiana Univ, or Shenandoah Conservatory! I hope that I will one day get to be onstage with all of you! Since Meg is going to be a director, she is gonna cast all of us in her show! And maybe we can even make it about Bernadette's life...LOL

I really enjoyed reading the posts to see who you guys really were!!

My name is really boring and if I ever become a director I want to have a neat stage name. Any ideas? I'm open to anything really. P.S. If I ever have it in my power to pick who gets to be in a show of mine, that is of course if I ever even get to direct a show, I want to cast all of you! lol

Yes this is a very good idea!
Ok my name is Isabella and I'm 17 and a senior in high school. You can add me to the list of people who want to attend NYU and major in drama.
Well besides from everything relating to drama I'm also interested in politics and I read a lot.
I am obsessed with "Sex and the City" "Friends" and "The West Wing" which seems to be common in this group!

allo everyone! my name is Katie and i am a senior in high school.
like most of the people here, i have a thriving passion for all things Broadway, theater and musicals! i have taken voice lessons for seven years, play the flute and piccolo, for seven years as well, i have been dancing since i was five and am on a competition team! i am on my high school's speech and debate team....i most likely would have gone to states...then hopefully nationals after that...but..i couldnt go to districts because of choir! ACK! but there is always this year!
suprisingly to me, i just made the lead in our school's musical! im soo excited...and i owe some of it to Ms Peters because when i did my call back, my one friend said "go up there and act like Bernadette, be Bernadette!" i laughed at him, but it worked and i got the part!

umm...i dont do or hardly like anything that isnt arts related!lol, the music i listen to is all showtunes..my favorites being gypsy(duh! since it just came out! rose's turn is on permanent repeat! throughly modern millie(to be sutton....lol) songs from a new world, amour and ragtime(one of my favorite musicals of all time, and my first one i saw on Broadway!)

thats about it! glad to now that im not the only person that blasts musical theater! lol!

Add me to the list of NYU hopefuls, although I'm also looking at Columbia and Georgetown. I'd like to study political science and international politics, and hopefully end up at the UN in NYC - or maybe Switzerland. I loved Geneva! But it doesn't have Broadway...

Thanks for all the NYU info! I can't wait to visit it.

What musical, Katie?

Congrats! We did Cinderella two years ago! It turned out to be a great show. We don't do a musical until the spring, so I don't know what the director has decided...come to think of it, I don't think he's even decided on a fall play!

Yeah, wouldn't it be funny if we all ended up somewhere in NYC? We'll have to start up a college thread come April and May to find out where people are going!
