I know it is in Shubert Alley, but can anyone give me more specific information? What time should we get there? How many people are usually there? How long does the event last? and finally, What exactly do they sell there? Thanks!

| posted: 9/10/2003 at 10:33:30 PM ET It starts around 11am, it lasts until around I wanna say 5pm (there's a grand auction around 4pm that I can never afford, but I love watching other people go crazy with the bidding). The auctionere from last year was awesome; I hope she's there again. Not only is it in Shubert Alley, but it's also all along 44th Street. They sell everything Broadway:
Posters
Playbills (and from old shows, not just recent)
signed items
cds (I always get my Broadway Cares Christmas cd from the previous year at the flea market)
They have a booth with capsules where you can win 2 tickets to a Broadway show...but you don't pick the show...it's about chance and luck
They have the celebrity table where you can get autographs and pictures

And Christine and Bwaybaby, as far as I know.
I'm so excited -- I've never gone to the Bway flea market before! I can't afford much (like the celeb table, for instance; I think I'll just wait until I see the show in October to meet Bernadette) but I'd LOVE to just walk around and browse. How fun!

Regis: And look at all this hair. My God. That's a lot of hair. Look at this. How does hair get this way?
Bernadette: Um.. it sort of grew out of my head like this.

My theatre director (Renee Denney...she'll be manning the ITO (International Thespian Officers) booth...if they have a booth...) is leaving TOMORROW for NY to help out She's really excited because she didn't get to go last year because she was pregnant and they didn't want her going up there...sad. Anyway, I'm so very jealous! I demand details from those of you that go!

| posted: 7/27/2004 at 4:11:42 PM ET Allie, you are absolutely correct. I couldn't decide whether I heard it was the 19th or the 26th and it made more sense to me to have it on the 26th (2 weeks instead of one week from Broadway on Broadway) so I wrote the 26th without looking it up. But NOW I have researched it and found the release that states it clearly is the 19th. Here's the link:
