My fab Dad bought me a very rare video of The martian Chronicles today for FIFTY QUID!!!! Blimey! And the man in the shop even put on the tape and the credits showed that yes, Bernadette Peters was in it- watched the whole thing at home this afternoon and didn't spot her once! Whats going on?!!!

The Martian Chronicles was a mini-series on 3 video tapes. Bernadette is definitely on one of them because I have it, and she's very funny as a self-centered hair dresser stuck on Mars. Maybe you just have one of the other tapes with different episodes. Keep looking. Sample line: "Listen Buster, just because we're the last two people on Mars, doesn't give you the right to come on to me!"

Yes, I believe she was in the third part. I have also seen it and agree she is quite funny. Try to see if you have all 3 parts or just one.

this may be a random question, but in "The Martian Chornicles" is there a character named Mrs. TTT? i ask this b/c one of the first things i did in an acting class was play Mrs. TTT in what i think was the martian chronicles, but it was a while ago so i'm not sure if that's the name of the play i was in or not... but how cool would it be if i as in another show that Bernadette was in??? (i was also Sally in Sally and Marsha)

Wish I could help, but since I'm not a science fiction devotee I never watched the whole mini-series which is really long. I just fast-forwarded through the tapes until I found the part that Bernadette is in, which is vol. 3, and that's the only scene I ever watch. I had to read the original book by Ray Bradbury in junior high school, but I guess it didn't make much of an impression because I don't remember any of the characters. Sorry. Anyone else know more about it?
