Hey Guys...i got to thinkin....after this(gypsy) what do you think is next for Bernadette...i mean she is playing the role of a lifetime right now....could anything measure up to what she is doing now....i know she is still pretty young and has a few years a head of her....i think at the moment she still has the potential, and energy to do Auntie Mame in "Mame" or Mrs. Lovett in "Sweeney Todd" How do you guys feel about this....i wish she could keep going forever...im hoping she wins at least 1 more tony too....she so deserves it after they gave it to Marissa...well...just let me know how you guys feel....

i have been wondering about this too....also, do ya'll think she will start up her concert tours again? MAYBE SHE WOULD COME TO NEW ORLEANS!! AHHH! ok...i'm alright now...but seriously, what do ya'll think?

I am sure that she will do more concerts. She loves doing them, and she usually tours after she completes a run in a Broadway show. I would like to see her in a totally NEW role in an original musical. Gypsy IS a role of a lifetime...but I hope that something new and original will surface so she can dazzle us again on Broadway.

yea i think we will see her do a few more concert tours but i am hoping to see on stage again in either a new musical or another stephen sondheim...i hope she does a tour close to where i live in virginia....nothin exciting ever happens here

In Virginia, Bernadette has performed at Wolf Trap which is in northern virginia. I think she did that concert about two years ago.

Apparently she will still come over and do Gypsy over here in the West End. It will open with Elaine Paige and then bernadette will take over. I really hope this goes ahead. !!!

I would love to see her in something brand new as well. It would be especially great to see her in another sondheim/lapine collaboration or something like that.

By the way...speaking of the Tonys and Marissa winning has anyone seen Hairspray? I just don't see how anything could beat Bernadette as Mama Rose!

Aaaargggghhhh!! This is horrible!!
Bernadette was at Wolftrap two summers ago AND did AGYG in DC in '99 before going to Broadway and I could have seen her if I'd only known then of her wonderfulness.
Why didn't someone tell me???!?

I heard it from my sisters actor friend....i think his friend is meant to be in it or knows something or someone. Don't get excited - nothings for certain it could all be a rumour.
