I was just looking at Bernadette's official website, and in the pictures section, there is a small picture of what looks like a wedding. It's outside and she's wearing a purple-y, lavender wedding dress. Is that her wedding? Were the pictures made public?

That's definately not her wedding. The pictures were not made public although one photo I've seen. It's actually in the movie It Runs in the Family only instead of her husband standing with her, they dubbed in Michael Douglas's face.

I'm absolutely fascinated as to what purple wedding dress you might have thought was her personal wedding dress. I looked on her site in the photo section but can't find a picture that matches that description. Can you tell me where on the site you were looking?

Perhaps it was from the end of Bobbie's Girl? I know she wears an offbeat wedding dress when Bobbie and Bailey get married, but I can't remember what color it is. It WAS outside, though. So perhaps that was it?

Ah yes that might be it. Though I didn't remember seeing that on her site.
By the way if anyone is interested and hasn't seen it. Here is the only publicly released picture of Bernadette's wedding.

I think I know which dress you are referring too...it was lavender with flowers embroidered on the top of the dress? She had her hair up with butterfly clips in it? I think that dress was from the TONYS red carpet one year

I have a picture that was actually taken at her wedding. It was published in People magazine shortly after the event. I think that it is on my other computer so I will copy it over to this one and send it to Kevin. It isn't the best scan but it is still worth looking at.

Whoops! I already sent it. I didn't see your previous link. I will say one thing--the picture you have is the exact scan I made several years ago. It was a poor scan with jagged edges. I shared it with Melinda's old site and Caitlin's old site. I think that it is funny that it has resurfaced so many years later. Ha!

One more thing---I did just send Kevin an illustration of Bernadette. I saw her in concert for the second time in 1994 in Dallas. The concert was called "Another Opening, Another Show" and the picture I sent was on the cover of the program. I shared this one several years back so some of you have probably already seen it. It is still worth looking at.

She was on Regis the month after her wedding and showed about half a dozen pictures from her wedding, but that one that ran in People is the only one I've seen published.
Didn't they take a more formal portrait that they can share or at least one where her husband has his eyes open.

Wow, that's a really nice wedding picture! She looks so pretty!
The picture I'm talking is on this http://www.bernadettepeters.com/newpage20.htm page, and its the last picture on the right. I was a little scared if that was her wedding, considering the guy looks like he's in Riverdance with those sleeves!
