This is from tnt-tv.com, their "Prince Charming" site:
(There are interviews with the other performers, too)

"A Conversation with Bernadette Peters
(Margo)

Q: Is your character searching for her Prince Charming?
A: Margo's been married three times, but she's not bitter. She is always able to mend her heart again. She's very much in love with Hamish, and she really would like him to commit to marriage. It's hard to get him to do that because he has a roving eye. But she knows that this is the love of her life, so she holds on to hope.

Q: Why do fairy tales endure?
A: We connect to fairy tales from things that come from our childhood. They are the epitome of the best and the worst that can happen in life. We all grew up with them. I think that all fairy tales remind us of our childhood.

Q: What do you think sets this film apart from the standard Prince Charming tale?
A: Well, it's so lovely because there they are, hundreds of years later, with the same sensibility they had before. They're walking around in modern society experiencing new things that are very bizarre to them. The irony alone is very entertaining and sets it apart.

Q: What makes a true Prince Charming in your opinion?
A: I think great honesty and huge confidence make for a wonderful prince.

Q: Describe Margo's initial conflict with Hamish.
A: It's opening night for Midsummer Night's Dream. Serena is helping me into my costume when I get flowers delivered to my dressing room. I go running into the hallway, only to find Hamish talking to a beautiful young girl in the hallway. I find out that the girl also got flowers, but her bouquet was twice the size of mine. He gets caught at that moment and looks like a jerk. And that's what basically happens throughout the story.

Q: Why are audiences so drawn to Prince Charming?
A: I think everyone loves a love story. Everyone is looking for someone they can trust and love in his or her life. Everyone can relate to the story because we are all searching to find that special prince or princess."

That first scene with Hamish sounds absolutely heartbreaking. I'm sure Bernadette played that so well. I can't wait until July 13th.
