Hi everyone!

After months and months of planning, it's looking like a trip to New York is FINALLY a possibility.

Sadly, because of the uncertainty of the date of the trip, I have not purchased tickets yet. (And believe me, it was not my idea to wait this long!) Anyway, I'm debating what day of the week to see Gypsy. Here's the weekly schedule:

Monday- 8:00
Tuesday- 8:00
Wednesday- 2:00 and 8:00
Thursday- 8:00
Friday- 8:00
Saturday- 2:00 and 8:00

Here's my theory:

I was thinking that the Monday night show would be the best of the week, as the cast will have had Sunday to rest and that their voices would be at their peak on Monday. There's also the theory that because Friday and Saturday nights are such huge nights for theatre, that the casts performances would be somewhat more energized because they know that the weekend is the time when the crowds are at their largest.

I know they might sound ridiculous but are any of these concerns valid? (Mind you, I've only been to New York once, so I have nothing to base my "theory" on)

I wouldn't say there are any weak nights. That is something that sometimes happens after a show has been open for several months. And I can tell you that Monday's show was phenomenal with wonderful voices and that was after Bernadette had sung at the Tonys on Sunday night basically not having a day off to rest her voice.

So I would concentrate more on getting the best seats. Because you have had to wait until the last minute for tickets, your selections will be somewhat limited but increase your chances of getting a good seat by being willing to go to any performance. Just my thoughts.
