Rob, I'm with you, I almost cried too! And I agree with everyone about how kind and wonderful it is that you are doing this for a fan, Bliss. I saw Gypsy the opening preview night (March 31st) and I just thought the entire show was so wonderful. Your scene was so hysterical and you made the perfect Mazeppa. I wish you the best luck on the rest of your performances and all your future shows. I sent a letter to Bernadette at the theatre and it was written to the entire cast, did you get to read it?

Megan, you need to get back there and see it again. Oh, they've made so many wonderful changes. I mean, I was at the frst preview as well and loved it, but it is just a masterpiece now. The one thing that I love about theater and yet hate at the same time is that it only lasts so long, and then the moment is gone...nothing but a memory in the audiences' minds. I really wish they would record Gypsy onto video and DVD so we can capture it forever....even if it's not released until after it ends; like Into The Woods, Sunday in the Park With George, Putting it Together, etc.

Christine i was thinking the exact same thing! I saw the show April 26th...the last Sat of previews...so the memory is definately starting to fade. Funny the things I do remember vividly though...little Baby June's (Heather Tepe)high pitched yelps...Mazeppa and her trumpet...Rose's Turn with the post applause and bowing. I would love it if they would make a DVD of this performance. Im anxiously awaiting the cast album so i can relive it a little at least!

And Bliss, I hate to ask again but sometimes questions get lost in long messages. I was just wondering if you all (meaning the cast) got to read the letter I wrote to all of you?

"Anonymous"--

Everyone deserves the right to some privacy. You've shown that by not posting under a user name and posting anonymously. And no one has asked you for your name. I choose to keep certain things private as well and for good reasons. I know your intentions for asking were probably harmless (or atleast I hope that's the case). I only posted that response because a certain poster wanted to meet Bernadette and I will mostly likely be there the same day. So, I guess what I am getting at is...I'm sorry but I just don't feel comfortable sharing that sort of info on this board with so many people that I do not even know. Its not a big deal at all...just a privacy issue.

i assume that bwaybaby is not your first name. maybe you are joan cusack or melanie griffith or madonna or anonymous. that is the thing about a message board...you can be anyone...so i don't think that by posting anonymously you are being any more honest than by using a name like bwaybaby. bliss was honest enough to let us know that she is in the show. she is really sacrificing her privacy. you must be pretty important to want to keep your privacy so secure.

Thanks for the reply back Bliss. I think it's wonderful you're taking time out of your schedule to answer fans of the show. Hopefully I'll get to meet you at the stage door August 5th! lol..many weeks to go...

I really have no need to explain myself to you. However, if you did have a username I would be able to private message you rather than taking up space on the board. I am not hiding anything. Infact, the majority of the people on this board do know my name. Actually, all you would have to do is go back and read some of the archives and it would be right there. Just because someone wants their privacy does not mean they are more important than anyone else. And if you took the time to read the archives you would see where I have explained more about myself which would probably answer some of your questions. I am not in the show though. I never said I was. I do not see why you are blowing this so out of proportion. If you have any further questions please private message me. This is getting ridiculous talking about this on the board.

I'm sorry if I sound really rude right now, but I'm going to say exactly what I feel and I don't really care what everyone else thinks.

Posting anonymously is cowardly. I know many of you say that it's just that person's (or people's) right to post anonymously if they so choose; but then they should not be so quick to question or judge other people who have the decency to post under a user name.

I am so incredibly sick of reading posts from people who are AFRAID to reveal themselves. Even if you don't want to have a user name, you could at least use a signature at the bottom of each post (like one of our regular posters does) so that we can distinguish the different anonymous posts!

For some unknown reason, one particular anonymous person seems to have it in for BwayBaby. Nobody should have to explain themselves or their personal relationships or connections with anyone or anything; and I think everyone should have respect for everyone else by not asking each other personal questions on a public forum. If you're so interested in an answer, that's what email and private messaging is for!

I don't think people should even be able to post anonymously. It should be you can read the board publicly, but if you want to post a response you have to have a user name! That's just my opinion.

I do believe that people should have the right to post Anonymously. That being said, I don't think that people have the right to question the identity or sincerity of another poster.

Bwaybaby has been a member of this site since way before I joined, and whatever way she gets her information or is able to do the things she does for others or helfself, is non on anyones business.

We should all just enjoy the posts and thank her and anyone who spends quality time sharing on this site.

OK, here is my thing with the anonymous posting....anonymous posters are more apt to post negative, rude and hurtful things( not all, but some). Why? Because they don't have anything ( a user name) that is identified with them. So they can come on here and post something horrible without anyone knowing who it was and they don't have to worry about people's impression of them from there on out --since no one knew who they were to begin with. So, I think people who use a user name are much more careful about what they post. As you can tell. most of the posters here who are registered say what's on our mind, but we also know that what we say will be associated with OUR usernames. But since posting anonymous is allowed on this board there's really nothing myself, or anyone else who dislikes the whole anonymous posting thing can do. But, for me personally, I do not give as much credibility to the anonymous posts as I do the other ones.

But thank you Dededarlin, Christine and Krasm-- I do not understand why someone would actually think they are OWED a response to a question that is not even any of their business.

Bwaybaby:"I do not understand why someone would actually think they are OWED a response to a question that is not even any of their business."

My thought:
Because they're either very young and don't know any better (where is Miss Manners) or because they are arrogant and think that everything revolves around them or they are trying to cause trouble...

there, I feel better...(I really don't want to prolong this)
