New Yorker review is up Here's some quotes:

Once you manage to shake your entrenched notions of how the role should be played, Peters’s performance becomes a marvel, a startling reinvention of a musical warhorse.

Peters’s voice is one of the great instruments in the world of musical theatre

What a wonderful review. Thank you for the link.

"Peters, on the other hand, seems intent on humanizing her character. Instead of competing with the girls—or with anyone else in the cast, for that matter—she invites everyone to share the stage, and she is visibly delighted when the others tear it up."

That's what is so wonderful about Bernadette. She is a genuinly nice person; not a diva. She doesn't have to hog the spotlight like past performers in the role.....uh, hum....Merman.

Bernadette is also mentioned in the May 12th issue of Newsweek.
