As much as I like Sondheim, Berlin, and the 1996 studio CD, I must say that this is already my favorite. I actually sat in my living room and got a little choked up, and then just laughed out loud ("There is Nothing Like a Dame") and finally applauded.
I even enjoyed reading the list of thanks you's, although most of the names are unfamiliar to me.
But the nicest touch is the dedication to her parents.

There is an obvious difference between Sondheim and R&H. This CD is quite different from anything else I've heard her do. She's a joy to listen to on this new CD!!

Just for your info, Mary and Robert Levine are Mary Tyler Moore and her husband, Robert Levine. I thought it was interesting that she didn't give away who "Mary" was and instead kept it personal.

Bernadette did 'Nothing Like a Dame' in San Francisco last Thanksgiving. She brought down the house with it. Unbelievable!!!
I guess ol' George W. liked it too.
You gotta see it. Check out Radio City Music Hall. Tickets on sale through Ticketmaster Online March 20th.
I have been holding off on the CD because I just finished installing a new set of wonderful Infinity speakers in my car. Hell, I am still listening the AGYG CD everyday on the way to work!! I think I have worn out three AGYG CDs so far.
I'll be going out to Costa Mesa if I don't have to work. Wish I was 'independent' like you are and didn't have to think about it.
Later.
Jim.

(Forgive Jim and I this personal moment--I was looking for something equally cleaver to regale you with.)
Yes, I listened to the new CD in my living room, much enhanced by my favorite beverage. Hope you can get to the California concert--a brief report would be nice.
