From: Northern Virginia | posted: 2/1/2013 at 9:40:47 AM ET Is anyone planning on attending Bernadette's concert on March 8 at the Salem Civic Center? I was thinking about it... it's a bit of a drive for me (3 hours! 230 miles! but Bernadette is worth it...) Has anyone ever been to this venue? I was curious about their seating chart. It looks like in the middle they have a lot of sponsor tables, which, upon checking out the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra website look like they'll be taken up by the RSO Sponsors, so guessing they're not available for sale as there's an X through every one of those seats on their site. Seems like the only seats you can buy tickets for are on side orch, and honestly, they look like they're not that great of a view. If anyone's been to the Salem Civic Center before, how are those B sections? Are they worth it?

| posted: 2/2/2013 at 6:15:55 PM ET We're going, the missus and me. Tickets are insanely cheap for a BP concert, and it is only a couple hours drive for us. The venue looks rather small actually, and the side section seats that I bought don't really look all that bad. I like the town/area and look forward to seeing it again. My only hope is that it a full Bernadette program and not a symphony fundraiser "pops" concert which forces Bernadette to compress her show to 65 minutes or so. The concert we saw in Atlanta back in Sept was soooooo good I just can't pass this up.

From: Northern Virginia | posted: 2/3/2013 at 11:53:11 AM ET Thanks for the reply, leebee. I bought my ticket today. Row 1, Seat 3. It looks like the seats don't face the stage at all, but rather the middle area, like a sports arena or whatever you call it (I am soo bad with sports terminology... ha!) I couldn't pass it up because, like you said, the tickets are very cheap, and also because I have no idea when I'll get to see her again. I've never been to one of her concerts (though of course her set list is always the same... but who cares!) so I'm very excited.
I'm also wondering about the Stage Door, and if the SCC has one. I'll have to maybe call and ask at some point before the concert, or ask in person day-of. I really hope Bernadette comes out. I know she always does, but still.

Where were you sitting? Maybe I saw you.
