She wouldn't have time to rehearse even if she doesn't get nominated.
She's usually at least a presenter. Either way, I'm sure we'll see her there this year.
I like what they did a few years ago, when Bernadette & Tom opened the show and introduced all of the presenters (there was really no official host).

Many times those in a current show have hosted - Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are a recent example. I'm not sure if they would go back to a no host program like they did in 1999 because I don't think it was received very well. Though I personally thought it was fine. I guess we'll just have to wait and see ...

Still, Bernadette wasn't exactly praised after she hosted last year. I don't think it was all her fault; the pre-written banter that she and Gregory had to say was ridiculous.
I would love to see Martin Short host the Tony's with either Bernadette or Steve Martin.....although Steve is hosting the Oscars this year, so who knows.

I think it was a lot the script they were given and they had some good moment but you are right, overall, they were not well received. I think they were both a little too sedate. I like your idea about BP and Martin Short. They would balance each other out well.

Unscripted, natural humor is always the best.
