Well, it got me thinking....how great would it be if they did this for a Broadway show? I personally believe that lot of what goes on backstage is meant to be kept private and personal but on the other hand I think it'd be a great resource for those who aspire to be on Broadway...so they can see that its a LOT of work and not all play and how everything comes together. I know there have been several programs which have included some backstage footage but I don't think there's been anything soley dedicated to filming *just* this.
Just a thought....

Many people go to shows and really believe its the actors doing all of the work.(they do a tremendous amount don't take that the wrong way) So much goes on backstage. My drama teacher once told me "The actors on stage would not be heard if it were not for the microphones, nor would they be seen without the lights. There would be no sets, no costumes, and no music if it weren't for the help from everyone in the background."

Just a question though - My sister is an actress and she had highlights put in her hair and now she has to get her headshots done again but how many different hairstyles and colours has Bernadette had in her career? Loads! She must have had to get them done again and again and again!!

| posted: 12/29/2002 at 12:33:48 AM ET Well this sounds like one of those silly topics like why does she wear glasses so you know I have to post. LOL
She seemed to have brown hair until she was 4 or 5 and then she went blond. I think she stayed blond until the early eighties when from what I could tell she gradually darkened her hair. There were times when it was dark blond or light brown and then she kind of gradually went over to red in the 90s. I really do prefer her as a redhead.

| posted: 12/29/2002 at 11:11:23 PM ET You know Jenny, I've always thought she looked the best, just overall, in the early nineties. Not necessarily her hair. And I'm not saying she doesn't look great overall now. LOL But just at her best then. And that was a nice color on her. I just don't particularly like her as a total blond.

From: London | posted: 12/30/2002 at 3:56:31 PM ET yeah, shes too pale to be completely blonde. You know, I may be biased because - lets face it- I love her, but I think she actually is very beautiful but then again we all have different ideas of beauty don't we?

Registered: 6/21/2002 | posted: 12/30/2002 at 6:18:47 PM ET food for thought...people always say blondes have more fun...but i find that it isn't true. as a natural blonde who is currently a red head...it is more fun not having blonde hair.

| posted: 12/30/2002 at 10:26:27 PM ET I am so confused!? Wasn't this topic originally about doing a behind-the-scenes thing for a Broadway show!?
Why didn't you guys just start another thread if you wanted to discuss a different toic? LOL
I don't think it's a big deal, but it's a little rude to completely change someone else's thread when they intended to introduce an equally discussable topic.
But, since the topic changed, LOL I love "The Goodbye Girl" soundtrack. I love the songs "A Beat Behind" and "Don't Follow in My Footsteps."

From: London | posted: 12/31/2002 at 5:36:47 PM ET sorry, it was me who changed the topic. I only did so because, firstly nobody was posting anymore on the original subject and secondly, if i started another topic, I would run the risk of absolutely noboby answering! But "rude" is a bit harsh...perhaps cheeky though.....
