wasn't good enough. Bernadette will be a judge on an upcoming episode of Boston Legal. Scheduled to air May 8, 2007 if BL forum is reliable.
ABC Summary:
Alan Shore sues the United States on behalf of a client who was tortured for two years at a detention camp. Meanwhile, Jerry Espenson begs Shirley Schmidt to let him have his job back at the firm -- despite the fact that he`d once tried to kill her -- and Claire defends a lawyer who committed a sexual assault after hearing a prank radio program proclaiming the world was coming to an end.
Guest stars Mitch Pileggi, Bernadette Peters, T.J. Ramini.

For those who may not know, Boston Legal was created by David E. Kelly of Ally McBeal fame on which BP previously guested.

Wow, that's great! Less than a month away. She's really getting into the TV law stuff. Could a regular series gig somewhere be in the offing?

Funnily enough, I just watched Boston Legal for the first time last night and enjoyed it's humour and quirkyness... It will be so good to see her as a judge. What's next? Maybe she will play the "accused"? It would be interesting to see her play a really nasty character, maybe a murderer or blackmailer. I bet she would sizzle!
as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

Well, we know she looks great in black and holds court like none other. Perhaps her role will be a bit bigger than her role on L&O: SVU.

I am so excited abut this. I have always thought Bernadette would be hilarious on Boston Legal. I hope it becomes a recurring charecter. She would be so funny opposite William Shatner also.

My spouse is a Boston Legal regular (mostly because she is a serious Trekkie and will watch Bill Shatner in absolutely anything he does) and it is a pretty smart, quirky show. Spader usually gets the best laughs, his unique Spaderness comes across on television quite effectively. This episode will air a few days before I see Bernadette perform in Raleigh, so it will be a great week!

I just realized that David E Kelley is behind both Ally McBeal and Boston Legal. He must be fond of Bernadette since he cast her on both shows. He has good taste.

Don't get me wrong, I find Boston Legal hilarious in it's own right but does anybody else see the similarities between BL and Ally McBeal? Can't wait for Bernadette to appear, STILL waiting for the SVU episode!

Bernadette does have friends that inform her about what the general chat that goes on in some threads of this board,and they log on with her from time to time.....and she is now very computer friendly,thanks to her friends....
