Until Rose can post her photos (for heavens sake, dear, just because you have school is no excuse to keep us waiting... ), here is some guy's blog plus a really nice photo of Bernadette at the event. She looks lovely, I like her hair pulled back for a change--
Well actually I think Bernadette is talking to the horse, not the ranger.

Rose, Looking forward to your posting about her speech. *nudge nudge*

Ok so I'm finally getting around to the speech. So a man got up and said that in the wilderness of Central Park they were lucky enough to get Annie Oakley to come and then he handed her the award and it was a silver cup with her name on it. And she said Oh I collect thses and when I buy them they usually have someone elses initals on them but this time it has my name on it. Then she thanked everyone for the award. Then she said that she doesn't believe that animals don't have memories and that an example is all the horses in Shuber Alley who are named BP or something like that because she used to feed them carrots and when the riders wouldn't stop they would go to Shuber Alley and wait for her. Then she said that she promised to continue to be a good citizen (and she put her right hand up and then realized it and laughed and said Look I'm a Girl Scout) and that she would continue to do good deeds.
