I just came across a mention of Bernadette having done a TV commercial and a print ad in 1982 for Bulova watches. Does anyone remember those?

That's where I saw it, but I was wondering if anyone personally remembered seeing the commercial/ad at the time.

It would be fun if we could round up images for all of the various product ads she's done over the years. I remember a great picture of her for a frame company, maybe LA Eyeworks or something. It was the brand with the tagline about a great face being like a great work of art --it needs a great frame. I saw it in her file at the NYPL for the PA when I first went there. Of course when I revisted the file a few years later, it was not there anymore. This is why they make people check their bags and such. The one in the file was labeled as being from Interview Magazine, but when I looked for it in some back issues, I could never find it. My dad said he saw her once in one of those commercials for the NBA on CBS. I think in the late 80s early 90s, she was courtside at enough games that one writer listed that as one of Pat Riley's coaching perks.

Interesting. I didn't realize she was such a big basketball fan.

This is from the ask-a-star feature on broadway.com from 2000:

"From jeanmd: Favorite color? Favorite sport? Favorite magazines?
Bernadette responds: Like a mauvey/pinkey/violent[sic]. basketball or baseball on TV, because I like to look at the close-ups. If you mean a sport that I actually do, it would be skiing. I love magazines, but I don't think I have any particular. what I like to do is when
I'm at an airport, I'll just grab a couple, even though usually there are other things I should be reading!"

I saw an article, from the New York Times, dated August 20, 1990, (titled THE MEDIA BUSINESS: Advertising;Basketball Is Small Shop's Big Break)discussing an ad campaign that the NBA was running, which mentioned that Bernadette was one of the people they used on TV to promote basketball.

here's another, from New York Times, Mar 28, 1989, discussing the 1989 Academy Awards and ads:

"Another advertiser capitalizing on the hoopla
[of the Academy Awards]is Revlon Inc., whose three 30-second ads will include the Broadway singer Bernadette Peters and the football quarterback Joe Montana, who will answer the question, ''What makes a woman beautiful?'' Penny Marshall, whose direction of the film ''Big'' was ignored by the Motion Picture Academy despite the movie's nomination for best picture, directed Revlon's spots."
