| posted: 4/10/2006 at 10:58:01 PM ET Hi everyone,
Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm trying to ride out the remaining weeks in the semester.. then I graduate with my master's (*sigh of relief*) in 35 days.
Anyway, I've added a new toy, the chronology. It's more of an experiment, really. The idea is that users of the site can add new events to the chronology so it can grow to be the definitive list of Bernadette's achievements. It can also be filtered on the various categories so it can turn into a discography, television appearance list, etc. If you don't have complete information, that's OK, post it anyway. Someone else might know and they can update the event.
Play with it, let me know if you have any problems or need new categories.
I'd also like the thank Jean for helping me keep the calendar, news and FAQ sections up to date.

I'm proud to say I've already done my first edit.
Great idea. By the way, Congratulations Kevin, on finishing your degree!

| posted: 4/13/2006 at 8:06:30 PM ET You might notice the word "Photo" in the editor options when posting a message and the variety of other places where it's used. Each photo in the photoalbum is numbered under its name. The photo link will ask you for the picture number and then add a link to the picture in your message.
I added a few links to pictures in the timeline; things like when she got married and some pictures of roles she played. I also added a new category of photos for some of the interesting photos that don't neccesarily fit in elsewhere.
Example:
Photo link: Lamby

Registered: 6/7/2003 | posted: 4/22/2006 at 8:31:04 AM ET Boy, "Tulips" is a tough one! Was it ever really released in theaters? Can't find a review or even a display ad in the usual Lexis-Nexis/google search.
She did make a lot of movies there in the late 70's, early 80's, and again in the late 80's/early 90's. I'll ponder her career moves today.
I like the additions, especially the early "Gypsy" stuff--I also like photos or other links--get busy, folks, I'm off, back later.
(Oh, and a big thanks to Karen, who either has much bigger and better archives than any of us, or who has an astounding memory!)

or maybe you don't want to go there here...
just noticed that her wedding date and Michael's death weren't there.

Registered: 6/7/2003 | posted: 4/28/2006 at 11:54:26 AM ET I specifically put in the wedding date (July 20, 1996) as one of my first entries--did it disappear.
I can not-or will not--be the one to put in the death data.
I also chose not to put in anything about her personal life. Of course, I know nothing, so nothing is what you get...
Whatever anyone else wants to do, let's just hope we keep within the bounds of good taste and remember we have absolutely no idea of who is reading this.

later--yep, the marriage is there, just as I entered it on April 13--perhaps you are thrown by my terminology--would "wedding" be better?

I think the fact that every other detail but that has been entered says that you are not the only one who feels that way. It's almost as if you (you as in general terms, not you as in Jean terms) ignore it, that means you don't have to admit it happened.
I have no advice regarding personal data entries.

I think of our timeline as being a documentation of her professional activities and accomplishments. A marriage is a major life milestone that deserves to be mentioned, but I agree with Jean that, in general, other personal events really don't fit in with what we're trying to do.
