I didn't even know there were different British accents, but then again, there are plenty of different American accents.

Theres cockney which you'll find in the film Oliver..tons of northern accents but an example is Daphne in Frasier who is from Manchester....if ever you see an english farmer type character in a film they'll probably doing a rural south west accent. Theres R.P which is basically just well spoken, and hyper R.P which is the ultra posh way the Queen speaks. I have a south London accent which is slightly cockeney but not really. Thats just a brief run down of accents there lol. I've just got back from the third night of a four night run of The Wizard of Oz in which I play dorothy so I just gave my best shot at a Kansas accent. hehe
