| posted: 9/10/2005 at 4:55:14 PM ET Okay is anyone else disappointed with the 4 p.m. Sondheim show that was supposed to be featuring Bernadette. They have played one, maybe 2 of her songs and its been on for an hour. Plus, they have maybe played 5 Sondheim songs with the rest being from other composers.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 9/11/2005 at 11:29:36 AM ET Yeah, that Michael Bourne character is not very good at all. This morning he announced, in a blustery voice, that he loves the four Bs: baseball, breasts, beer, and Broadway. In other words, he's just a regular guy who happens to love show tunes--not one of those hothouse flowers you've heard about. So don't go getting any wrong ideas!
Gross.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 9/11/2005 at 9:07:14 PM ET Actually, as far as I could tell, they were just random collections of songs, some from cast albums, some from soundtracks, some just pop recordings of stuff originally from Broadway. They had a few Bernadette selections scattered in, but nothing significant. Even the titles of the shows, Sondheim Saturday and Rodgers Rules, were misleading, as they didn't feature any more Sondheim or Rodgers material than would normally crop up on any standard program of musical theatre material. The whole thing was a big bust.
But I am looking forward to the rerun of Seth's show tonight.
