And, from the LA Times today:
"The broadcast, about as good as it could be given that it lasted the standard unwieldy three hours, got off to a strong start. The camera circled around a woman who turned out to be Bernadette Peters, all curls and cleavage, as ageless
as if she were sculpted from marble and with as much claim as anyone living to stand for musical comedy; she sang Cole Porter's "Another Op'nin', Another Show" and had me, at least, from "Another." "

And a few more pictures, with Michael keeping very close:

Oh, it was Donna Karan:
"Proof that Black Is Still Beautiful, Part 1
Bernadette Peters in a black dress is no surprise, but Peters was a knockout in a Donna Karan gown with a sweetheart neckline, a sassy shoulder ruffle and wave upon wave of chiffon ruffles adorning the mermaid-cut skirt." (broadway.com)

Thank you, broadway.com
My favorites: Adriane Lenox, Adam Guettel, Jerry Mitchell, Norbert Leo Butz, and Dan Fogler. Adriane Lenox-cute comment about washing dishes. Adam Guettel-a heartfelt speech. Thank you for not being blase about your win. And for starting off with regards to Elizabeth Spencer-bravo. Jerry Mitchell-cute and touching speech. Norbert Leo "Support regional theatre!" Butz-same. Dan Fogler-heartfelt and touching speech.
There were some very nice moments in the various speeches, and I'm sorry I didn't comment on that yesterday. But yeah-Adam Guettel. I think that was my favorite. Not the most eloquent, but sincere and truly appreciative. I wish him only the best. Good for him.
