Did Bernadette ask the orchestra for "a little help" at the beginning of "Fever," did your audience laugh during the Romeo and Juliet part, and did she do the little hip flip while draped on the piano?
Also did she say "her" or "him" during "Some Enchanted Evening" and did she go for the higher note at the end?

From: NYC | posted: 4/11/2005 at 7:39:28 AM ET In Boston she asked for help and it went off w/out a hitch - smaller orchestra, smaller room - got a big laugh. In Houston on Sat. night, the orchestra was already snapping so it sort of didn't work - just small laugh.
Hmmm, not sure about the hip thing on the piano but everybody loved the act in both places.

Some did. quote: and did she do the little hip flip while draped on the piano?
That I can't remember. quote: Also did she say "her" or "him" during "Some Enchanted Evening" and did she go for the higher note at the end?
She said him,and I can't remember about the high note.

Part of the "Fever" lyrics.
"Romeo loved Juliet
Juliet she felt the same
When he put his arms around her
He said Julie, baby, you're my flame
Thou givest fever
When we kisseth
Fever with the flaming youth
Fever I'm afire
Fever yea I burn forsooth"
The laughs usually come after "Thou givest fever." Not roaring laughter,of course. More like "Isn't that/she cute."

From: Rhode Island | posted: 4/11/2005 at 12:48:24 PM ET The Romeo and Juliet part got a good laugh in Boston. I've never noticed anyone sing it that way before.
She also did hit that beautiful high not at the end of Some Enchanted Evening. And speaking of high notes, that last note of Unexpected song was AMAZING!

Maybe I'm not describing what she did with her hip/leg during that part of Fever very accurately. It was only a little movement, but it did elicit some ahhh shall we say appreciative murmurs from certain members of the audience.

From: NYC | posted: 4/12/2005 at 10:06:27 AM ET Okay, I'm not sure who else has covered "Fever" so I can't vouch for other versions, but I consulted my Peggy Lee album and the version recorded by Peggy Lee - most famous for this song - is exactly the same as what Bernadette sang.
