"John Lithgow is the host and Bernadette Peters and Senator Charles E. Schumer are the honorary co-chairs at Manhattan Theatre Club’s 2005 Spring Gala, raising money for the company’s educational and outreach programs, at the New York Hilton, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, at 53rd Street. The evening includes cocktails, dinner and a Gala performance of show-stopping performances from Broadway’s biggest musicals, including “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” “Brooklyn the Musical,” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” The co-chairs of the evening are David Hodgson of General Atlantic LLC, and Jeffrey Since of UBS Investment Bank. Dress is black tie. Cocktail reception and silent auction is at 7 PM, with dinner at 8 PM, and performance at 9:15 PM. Tables of ten range from $30,000 - $10,000, with individual tickets at $2,000 or $1,000. For tickets call 212-399-3000 x342." (from the New York Social Diary)
