Is Bernadette seriously 57 years old. I did the math she was born in 1948 and it's 2005... is she really 57? She doesn't look it. She's older than my aunt and my aunt looks older than her! Is she really 57?

I beg your pardon I'm sure, but I don't stoop to what you're insinuating.

Ya know, when I briefly met with Bernadette back in March, she did look a bit older, right up face to face. Still stunningly beautiful though. A certainly not typical of other women in her age group. In a lot of ways, I am more partial to the way she looks now than how she looked 25 years ago or so!

leebee,I agree with you about Bernadette being more "beautiful of face"now that she's older. That comes from a life "lived" and the growth of character is reflected in her face.Compare yearbook pictures, theatre people, etc.,and while the youthful ones are beautiful, you don't see much depth of character! That only comes with age...

I also agree. She was cutesy looking in her earlier career, IMHO. She has grown, and grown into a truly stunning beauty, which I think is what makes her appealing to both men and women, much the way great movie stars like Kate Hepburn and Myrna Loy did. Absolutely, she has grown in character and depth, and it shows.

Moreover, she has taken care of herself, including her skin (likely some good Italian genes play a role too, but she's made the most of good sense). A lesson for us all, ladies (though too late for some, like myself).

Totally agree!!! A lot of it is for sure the good Italian genes...I'm half Italian and I must say that there are some BEAUTIFUL older Italian women in my family who have taken great care of themselves and because of that they radiate...but there are some who have aged like crazy.
My mother always told us that the most important thing is to always put sunscreen/moisturizer on even in the winter and indoors. BELLA!

I'm half Italian and I completely agree.

I'm Italian! I have pretty good skin too. I have like 1 zit at a time (if I have a zit at all) and it will be really small and last for like a few days. And I'm 12 so thats realy good skin for a 12 year old... But wow she looks amazing for her age!
