I got a new job offer today to work in the UPenn School of Medicine in the Department of Pathology as a programmer/analyst (a hgue promotion over my current job). I think most of you know the stress I was under because of the departure of my supervisor to find new work, so this is a huge relief. I don't start until the end of the month, but just seeing it down the way makes me happy.

Incidentally, I list the BP site on my resume and they were extremely impressed with it

*whew*

Neat!

I was unemployed three months after my graduation from graduate school. So I know how stressful it is.

Congratulations. Is UPenn far enough that you have to move (apologies if this is a dumb question. I don't know the area.)?

Nah, UPenn is across the river from South Jersey.. it's not a horrible commute. No moving now, but maybe I can buy my own house soon.

Most of the stuff I'll be involved with is making programs/websites to help the cancer researchers in the school/hospital.

It's a big promotion from what I'm doing now, so I'm really excited Thanks guys.
