| posted: 8/17/2004 at 2:29:04 PM ET I spent the weekend recovering from a trip to the ortho to have my wisdom teeth extracted (great, great fun. try it sometime). Knowing that I would spend the next day or so motionless on the sofa, trying to ignore my throbbing head, I assembled a bunch of movies to watch. I finally got around to watching "Bobbie's Girl".
What a sweet little movie. I mean, it is what it is, a made-for-cable-TV deal, but that said it is very enjoyable. Lots of beautiful photography of Irish coastlines and of course Bernadette is completely adorable. The shot of her theater memorabilia and the Playbill with herself on the cover was hysterical. Nice eyewear too.

| posted: 8/17/2004 at 2:34:30 PM ET I hope you are feeling better. I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out the week after I graduated from college. And of course about a week after that I got a call to interview for a job. Really great to go to an interview for your first real job with bruises on your jaw making you look like you've been in a bar room brawl. Not to mention I was having a very hard time concentrating because of the pain medication I was on. Needless to say, I didn't get the job.
But it all heals up sooner than you think. Take it easy and be sure to do your salt water rinses.
Glad you liked Bobbie's Girl. It is a cute movie.

You did a job interview? Holy smokes! You are a better man than I. I could barely manage to utter anything more than a miserable "eeehhh, ugh" until yesterday!
One more Bobbie's Girl thing; I loved the bit of Bernadette singing to Rachael Ward in the car on the way back from Dublin. It was so silly and spontaneous, like she might have just improvised it or something.

I love that part in the car too. Especially the way she almost spits on herself because she's laughing through her lips. LOL
