Registered: 8/14/2003 | posted: 8/13/2004 at 2:59:10 PM ET From what I have heard on interviews and read recently, she doesn't like to cook. I think she used to cook but no longer does except for a Ricotta Cake that she has mentioned baking a few times.
Her "diet" has been brought up many times here on this board and I think we've come to the conclusion that we really have no clue what she eats (though red meat is out!)

She mentioned that its a light and healthy dinner for her. On the side of cooking, isn't there Bernadette Peter's eggplant parmagain recipe or something like that? I do recall reading something.

| posted: 8/14/2004 at 12:45:18 PM ET I read the spinach and fist thing when she was answering the Gypsy questions. I have to admit that my mom has been trying to convince me to eat spinach for years and refused to until Bernadette said that she loved it.

Clark Bars and Baci's (which I LOVE!)
This is going to be a very unbalanced "star diet"....spinach, eggplant parmesan and chocolate

From: London | posted: 8/14/2004 at 3:28:20 PM ET i've heard of clark bars...but what exactly is in them? Theres a shop in my local shopping centre (or mall, if you will) that sells confectionary from all around the world. I like to buy Kinder choccy from there- yum! Its strange, but my cousin came over from Germany and she couldn't get enough of our Cadburys choccy - weird! I guess you always like something thats unusual to you.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 8/14/2004 at 6:24:25 PM ET I just very recently got a scanner, and I haven't used it yet. As soon as I figure out how it works, I will do that.
The photos range from the seventies to the present. One of my other favorites is from about 1980 and shows Bernadette at a party. She's sitting in a corner surrounded by people holding glasses of wine or cocktails, while she has a plastic Dixie cup with water; almost like the bartender said "oh, you want water only--well, there's a cooler in the hall." Anyway, an extremely red-faced and drunk appearing Ned Beatty is leaning towards her and talking intently. I don't know if it's just the camera angle or what, but Bernadette's eyes are looking heavenward and she has an expression that says "Get me out of here!"
It's pretty funny.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 8/14/2004 at 6:35:33 PM ET Oh yeah, last year Cindy Adams wrote a column about being in the Green Room at the 2003 Tonys. She said Bernadette turned down the sandwiches offered, and told her "I don't do carbs. Only protein. But I sneak a little chocolate."
