Does anybody know if you have to have flash media to view the website? I've been trying to see it all day and it hasn't ever loaded....or maybe they are just working on it. In either case, I can't wait to see it!

I would imagine you probably do. It is a rather involved website - which is terrific, very professional looking. There is music and photos that "twirl" up and quotes about her that change.

Hmmm. Seems she leaves off the -es in Peters too. Looks like Beendett Pete.
I like, nonetheless.

Actually that is one of her more legible autographs! That I've seen anyway. At least you can make out the individual letters. LOL

Maybe this will help.

First you see a pink border around a lighter pink square. The the down beat of the overture from her Sondheim, etc. concert. The announcer says, "Ladies and Gentleman, Ms. Bernadette Peterssssss". Her names comes on the screen in the pink square just as the announcer is saying it. As the overture continues, the following happens in rapid succession. The quotes (all from newspapers or reviews and credited to their writers) disappear but the pictures overlap one another:

Quote: As an actor, singer, comedienne and all around warming presence: Ms. Peters has no peer in the musical theater right now.

Picture: B&W full body shot of her in a short black dress. Publicity shot from her I'll be Your Baby Tonight CD

Picture: Same dress but a close-up torso shot.

Picture: From her Rodgers and Hammerstein CD where she is holding sheet music in front of her with her harms crossed. One of my favorite pictures from that CD

Quote: The first lady of the Broadway musical

Picture: Also from her "Baby CD" time period. She is wearing a black long sleeve top, her hair is pulled up and she has her arms crossed. A very cute picture of her. Always liked it. It was used for her concerts a lot. Kind of a casual shot.

Picture: From the R&H CD, full body shot with the music lying around her.

Picture: Her current headshot but its also from the R&H CD. Its the pose where she normally has the tattoo painting on but her arm is bare in this picture.

Quote: Bernadette Peters is the reason for the musical theater.

Picture: The front view of the previous picture with the slightly wind blown hair.

Quote: The beloved eternal daughter of the American musical.

As the last few bars of the overture plays, her autograph is written (as if she is actually writing it) on the the page. And then as the last quote disappears you have this picture collage and her autograph.

I was able to sign up for future announcements on the "revised" official BP website. Yesterday it wouldn't take, today it did.

I still can't see it on my work computer - something to do w/ the fact that we are not allowed to have the flash media because that would mean that we would be having fun at work and heaven forbid that happen - but I talked our computer guru into letting me see it on his computer - It's sooo cool! I can't wait for the finished product!

Just a thought for Sunny and Jenn. Do you actually restart your computers in the morning or has your computer just been on standby/sleep mode? Maybe if you recycle it will allow you to register with the site.
