With all of the talk of Gypsy not doing well, I'm wondering how much people are paying for good seats. Does anyone know how good the seats are when purchased at TKTS?

Are people on here paying full price for the first 5 rows in the center, or are they getting a break?

Thanks for your help!

A newbie here...well, technically a long time lurker. Anyways, my friend and I paid the full price for 2 tickets but we got second row center when we bought them. Of course, no one was sitting in front of us - so it was like being in the first row.

It'll probably be hard to find average priced seats close to the stage now, since Gypsy will close in a matter of weeks.

I don't think you can get those first few rows in the center for $61, but it's still in the front (on the side) so that's a good deal.

yeah, i just got tickets for tomorrow's matinee, and there were a lot of orchestra seats left. I got 3rd row center for $61 using the code. Seeing as it's only about $10 more than TKTS, i'd definitely recommend trying using the code first to see what you can get.

I bought my tickets online through the Gypsy website - and got VERY lucky. But then again, I was travelling from Boston so it seemed a bit foolish to spend money to go to NYC and then have some freak mishap of not getting tickets at all or getting bad tickets.

But looking at the grosses lately, I don't think you'll have a problem finding tickets. :-(
