Any news on what ticket sales are like for this performance ? Do people think it will be full or not ?

A lot of the fans that have enjoyed the show in the past are apparently making plans to be at the last one, and I think the house will be full.
It will be a very fitting send-off.

From: northern VA | posted: 5/13/2004 at 1:48:37 PM ET As a rule,I think most last shows are well-attended...even shows that have not done well financially for a period of time. Nostalgia and curiosity play a part. Some theatergoers love the atmosphere and the charge of a final performance. I know Side Show, for example, had an incredible final performance. Taboo,I believe, had a big audience for its last show. I wouldn't be surprised if Dance of the Vampires had a good crowd. These shows had a more unfortunate run than did this production,by far. So I wouldn't be concerned about low attendance, especially since it's been some time since the final notice was posted. It's a bit different,I'm sure, when the final notice is put up quickly (probably Never Gonna Dance had a smaller crowd, since that posted a final notice after Gypsy's first and closed before Gypsy's original closing date. But I could be wrong. And I could be wrong, but that show never seemed to attract a hardcore group,as the above shows did. In Dance of the Vampires, perhaps not in the way the creators intended. Poor Michael Crawford.).
I would not be worried about small attendance numbers. Not for this show.

I'm hoping the audience will be full of Bernadette and Gypsy idolaters -- the hard core, as the previous poster said.
I hope to show Ms. Peters and this wonderful cast what a pleasure and privilege it has been to have seen this show (and again and again...). It was something very special.
Off topic: anyone in the DC area, try to see Patricia Clarkson in "Streetcar" at the Kennedy Center. Her performance as Blanche is something special too.
