From Internet Network: 64.136.26.x | posted: 5/10/2004 at 10:17:06 PM ET Has anyone been treated poorly at the Shubert? I've only seen the show once, and the staff there was INCREDIBLY rude. I'm going back on the 21st to see it again (hopefully to some better attitudes)..what are your alls experiences...for me....the guy who was taking the tickets was rude ......and the ushers...they were the ones that really put me over the top. I went on a matinee and there were a considerable number of seinor citizens there.......and they wanted you IN THAT SEAT before the show and to get the h*ll out DIRECTLY after the show.......

From Internet Network: 64.136.26.x | posted: 5/10/2004 at 10:43:22 PM ET I attribute a portion of poor ticket sales to the staff at the Shubert. I have seen the show four times, and had only one comfortable box office experience. If I wasn't in love with the show, I wouldn't have bought tickets the first time I went to the box office!

From Internet Network: 129.1.100.x | posted: 5/11/2004 at 1:33:07 PM ET This is pretty typical of my experience with NY theatre. You have to understand that many tourists and people in general who have never been to theatre come to see a Broadway show, which is great-but they have no etiquette. Most of the time I see people coming in with bags of food, etc. And the majority of the time in NY the tourists can be cranky-so you have to understand their position a bit. But I do understand.

Registered: 6/7/2003 | posted: 5/11/2004 at 2:05:29 PM ET Wow, what a coincidence--the exact same anonymous Internet number (64.136.26.x)
on 2 of these posts, but they seem to be written as if from 2 different people. And in what is even a more astonishing coincidence, someone with the exact same anonymous Internet number posted, on May 6:
well, you guys do what you want......unless there's a sign that says "no throwing"....i'm doing it.
I sense someting VERRY INTERESTING going on here...not to say that the various anon. posters don't have the right to post whenever and whatever he/she/they want **yeah, right** but there is a slightly, oh I don't know, nasty, belligerent, I-have-no school-today-so-I-think-I'll-annoy-the grown-ups kind of feel to these posts.
Comment?
And if I've offended anyone, blame it on my youth (today is my birthday and I get to say and do whatever I want).

Thanks, to you too, Moljul--just trying to keep up with you (and your frankly brilliant comments on ATC re the registered letter guy. OY what was he thinking?)

| posted: 5/11/2004 at 2:23:42 PM ET Why thank you. The guy posted the same thing as part of another thread a few days ago and I wrote just about the same thing then.
Sorry but I won't sit by while this idiot trashes Bernadette for not treating him like he's her best friend.

From Internet Network: 64.136.26.x | posted: 5/11/2004 at 3:06:18 PM ET somehow i think you all have lost sight of what the post was about...RUDE people working the shubert.....Although i must say...reading your posts has given me something to think about......maybe YOU ALL should be working the shubert...because that we have the same post number doesnt mean anything, its the internet...nothing is concrete......but besides that point...i will be throwing flowers at her performance and no i dont not believe she is my best friend, i dont know her, but i do respect her work and her success, and for ME, PERSONALLY, i will be doing what I want to do.....and i'm not going to let down my guard just because you all have nothing better to do than to sit around and point fingers at every post.....and to you know who.....as far as your birthday goes....thats VERY CHILDISH to have the attitude of "i'll say anything i want".....how 7th grade IS that??

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 5/11/2004 at 4:06:31 PM ET Wow, this is getting so out of hand. To Anon, it sounds like you think Moljul was referring to you and being rude or insulting. She was referring to a man who made an odd complaint about Bernadette Peters on All That Chat today. She was not calling you an idiot. I don't think anyone here would do that. This is actually an extremely friendly place with exceptionally nice members. It takes quite an effort to cause rudeness here (unlike many boards). The notion that you can't let your "guard down" couldn't be further from the truth. Well, those are a few of my thoughts....
