Just thought that you'd all like to know that the "in theatres" date for A Few Good Years has changed from December 27th to December 25th.

Cindy =)

PS- for anyone interested in checking out a great new band ( with some Broadway veterans) check out http://www.beatandpath.com/index2.html

Ah...a Christmas double-header with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas! "Chicago" is also scheduled to open on Dec. 25.

I wouldn't fill in your calendar in ink quite yet. The release date has been fluctuating but it will probably be around that time. Of course one site has it listed as coming out in September. LOL

Here's a description

The Grombergs are a highly successful New York family - except when it comes to communicating with each other. Three generations of a family, each in their own way, live separate lives but find a couple moments in time to come together through laughter and tears and remind themselves that they are attached by blood. Mitchell Gromberg (Kirk Douglas), the patriarch, is having difficulty coming to grips with his mortality. His son, Alex (Michael Douglas), has spent his life trying not to duplicate his father's mistakes, while Alex's eldest son, Asher (Cameron Douglas), a rebellious college student, tries to cope with live, love, sex and rock 'n' roll in today's confused society. They all struggle to get from one end of life to the other - the younger Grombergs try to figure out where they are going while the older Grombergs try to figure out how in the hell they got where they are.

Just a little correction ...the last I checked thier last name was Grobart, not Gromberg. So either it was a typo from where you got the synopsis from or they decided to change thier name LOL. Anyways, Bernadette plays Rebecca Grobart in the movie, Michael Douglas' pyschologist-wife and mother of Eli and Asher (thier sons). I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone but the decription that moljul gave gave us is pretty much the jist of it.

I've seen Gromberg in a few places. At least I think I have. Plus they are Jewish so I think Gromberg would be a more accurante Jewish name than Grobart. But I guess we'll see when the movie comes out.

The script says Grobart as well as a few snopsis' and articles I've seen but perhaps they decided to change the name.

Goodness knows they have changed a lot of things in this movie. Like the title about 20 times! LOL Like I said, we'll have to wait and see.
