Yeah. I was thinking maybe it's some kind of Broadway/Standards cd, but that would be very simialr to her last recording (the R&H one).
A friend of mine said she would love to just hand Bernadette a tape recorder and say, "Here, sing these (insert handing her a list) songs." lol That would be fun.

OKAY! hypothetical Producer that I am, I've thought of another album. New York theme songs!

12. Title: What I did for love.
Composer(s): Hamlisch, Marvin.
Add. Title(s): "A Chorus Line"
First Line: Kiss today goodbye, the sweetness and the sorrow.
Other author(s): Kleban, Edward.

Hey Christine, great idea! Remember when she sang Sidewalks of New York to a tuba solo in Tulips?

Christine: I love it! Really, I can actually hear her singing some of these. I'll add just one more, to keep it Broadway and career-related: "New York, New York" (you know, "New York, New York! It's a helluva town!"), On the Town, Comden/Green, with a chorus.

Cannot believe I forgot this one (because it's one of my favorite Broadway songs): "Only In New York" from Thoroughly Modern Millie!

Two other good ones are Vernon Duke's "Autumn in New York" and Portia Nelson's "Sunday in New York".

lol That is so funny. And Oddly enough, someone on Broadwayworld.com (not me lol) started a similar thread the other day (I think after I had posted this on here). haha I feel semi-releaved knowing that I posted it here before reading it anywhere else so nobody thinks I was just ripping off anyone's idea. Seems a lot of people are really into the whole "New York theme song" idea lately. *hmmm perhaps I could be a Producer someday.
