"Best Musical Show Album
(Award to the Album Producer(s), and to the Lyricist(s) & Composer(s) of 51% or more of a new score. (Artist, Lyricist & Composer names appear in parenthesis.))
Gypsy
Jay David Saks, producer (Jule Styne, composer; Stephen Sondheim, lyricist) (New Broadway Cast With Bernadette Peters, Tammy Blanchard, John Dossett & Others)
[Angel Records]"
So, yes, Christine, the lyricist and composer do get the Grammy, as well as the record producer(s).
(If I were the producer/composer/etc I'd have a special award made up for Bernadette; I think that if it weren't for her, this recording probably would not have won the Grammy.)
