From: Toronto | posted: 2/4/2004 at 10:44:19 PM ET Hey guys!! I just convinced my dad to let me go to NYC during my reading week!!! I can't believe I did it. He's a strict man!
Anyway, I will be seeing the show Saturday the 14th or Monday the 16th. Does anyone think I will have problems buying my tickets at the box office that day??? I'm actually really hoping to see it on the Monday because that way I can get rush tickets....this trip is gonna happen with virtually $0! Do you guys think I'll get rush tickets.......or could it possible be sold out??

| posted: 2/4/2004 at 10:56:28 PM ET I would go for it and try for rush for Saturday matinee. If you find difficulties, find out about purchasing a full price ticket for Saturday night. If that is sold out, immediately check for Monday night. Saturday and Monday nights are always well selling nights for Gypsy (as someone mentioned, its during the week they were having problems) and I wouldn't take a chance on getting rush on Monday and then finding the entire show sold out. It is also a holiday weekend so its going to be busier than other weekends. I think you should be fine to wait to try for rush but don't take any chances beyond Saturday afternoon. Just my thoughts.

Registered: 6/26/2003 | posted: 2/5/2004 at 1:34:06 AM ET Let's see vacation days I have to use, frequent flyer miles to cash in, cheap hotel rates, lots of discounts to shows, and the last chance to see this first-class revival of the greatest musical with the reigning queen of Broadway .... I don't think I can resist.
I figure if the show extends, which I really hope it does, my ticket will be my $100 ($108 with those surcharges) present to Bernadette and the rest of the fabulous cast of Gypsy.

rush
Regular price for Balcony (Rows H-J) side=$26.25
How much is rush?
May be worth it to just buy one of those $26.25 balcony tickets.

The Phantom of the Opera,
Rent,Thoroughly Modern Millie also have Monday performances.)
