Thanks for the link, Jean. I can hardly wait. Interesting what he says about the title song. I have a recording of that with Christine Baranski and Jonathan Freeman on a Varese Sarabande sampler CD, and I've always thought it was an almost slavish copy of the Jerry Herman sound.

Thank you,Jean. I'm impatient to get this one as well.

People may not have been clamoring to have a definitive recording-or any sort of recording-of Sherry!,but Lipton is no fool. Assembling this cast is a sure-fire way of getting people to buy the recording.

I've already pre-ordered my copy from Best Buy since I have a feeling I might have trouble finding it locally once it is released....I can't wait!

Thanks PTM. Steven Suskin's article in Playbill is particularly informative. Also interesting to read about Lorelei. I saw that perfectly dreadful show during the pre-Broadway tour, and loved it(I was still at the age where I loved just about any live theatre I saw).
