Gypsys grossing were terrible this week w/only about 53% capacity and making only a lil less than %400,000. Is any one worried that it will close early?

I wouldn't worry too much. All Broadway shows took a severe dive this past week. This cold weather is really taking its toll. If Gypsy went down but lots of other shows stayed the same or went up, then I would be worried. Most shows (particularly those who have had strong weeks in the past) should be able to stick out this cold winter. I think someone on ATC reported that even The Producers was below 90% after being over 100% last week.

Thanks Moljul for keeping my hopes up because the people on broadwayworld were scarying me. I mean they were talking about signing Bernadette until Sept. but no new news has come from that, so does this mean that she probably won't sign until then?

Actually, most shows didn't do terrible. The Producers (according to Playbill.com) was at 100%. The rest of the shows didn't do as well but didn't take as big a dip as Gypsy did. (Down 7% in capacity from last week) For some reason, it just wasn't a good week for Gypsy.

Well, Boy from Oz was down to 76, Hairspray was down to 81, and Lion King and Mama Mia! were down to 89. Those are pretty low numbers for big time shows like those.
