Anyone know anything about Bernadette ever singing this on the Tonight Show?

I can't imagine anyone other than Bette Midler being allowed to sing that song publicly.

This site has descriptions of many of Bernadette's appearances on the Johnny Carson Show. As far as I can see, she didn't sing "Wind.." on Carson.

(It's fun to imagine some of these conversations, just based on the descriptions!) Interestingly, Steve Martin was the guest host on a few of the shows she appeared on..hmm..

Great website, Jean. Why or why do they not have all of those episodes available on tape. I've seen most of the 80s and 90s ones - whatever is on tape at the Museum of Television and Radio. But I would love to see those 70s ones.

Thanks. I only asked because I wasted a few hours reading references to Bernadette found by searching for her in books on Amazon and there was a mention of her singing it on the Carson show. I guess it was either incorrect or I misread.

Oh, I've seen that one. She and Joan Rivers just started talking about how every class had a tramp and Bernadette told a story about hers and how one day she just wasn't there and everybody figured she was pregnant. Then of course, Bernadette says with a guilty tone, "I guess I should have been nicer to her"

What about Bernadette singing "Everything Old Is New Again" did she include that in her act when she was performing with Peter Allen?
