Here's some excerpts from an article about Matt Bauer who normally plays Yonkers:
Matt takes it all in stride - even his regular contact with Peters, whom he describes as "the most generous woman I've ever met."
"She gave all of us Christmas presents - to remember the opening. They are bound scripts, with our names in gold. She wrote personal notes in each one," Bauer said. "She really cares. It's hard to find someone who is a musical theater diva who thinks about others before she thinks about herself."
His parents met Peters, who took the time to compliment their son.
"Bernadette Peters told us, 'He's absolutely going to be a success. He has all the right work ethics and fundamentals,'" Jeff Bauer said.

this is really random but Matt Bauer went to my high school and I met him when he came back to visit. hmm
