I think she ought to take a well deserved rest (not a permanent one, though) and then go on tour. But, I support whatever decision Bernadette makes.

Music video?!? LOL I think she should take a rest. She may retire. If you think about it she has done a lifetime of good work--and after this WHAT else is there? And quite honestly I love Bernadette dearly and she is my favorite...but I hear more of a huskiness in her voice now that was never really all that present. If you hear SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE and SONG AND DANCE and then listen to GYPSY it's an unbelievable different. Sure the character is VERY different and much harsher, but there is a difference that worries me. I know a lot of it is age--and she STILL has one of the MOST beautiful and artistic voices I will EVER know...but I think maybe she should rest the singing a bit, or do some lighter things. By the way does anyone know if she's working with a vocal coach or voice teacher throughout the run of gypsy to make sure her voice is staying lined up??
