From: tonawanda,n.y. | posted: 12/4/2003 at 3:07:34 AM ET At the conclusion of her London concert,Bernadette sings two beautiful songs:"I'll Be Seeing You" and "You're Lovely", and I thought that a CD of some standards of Berlin,Cole Porter,Gershwin, etc.would be great! Wouldn't that be a beautiful CD? Has she ever considered recording such songs?
To the loveliest lady of song!
You will keep on giving me joy forever...

I had very similar thoughts on hearing those two on the DVD.
There are some '30s and '40s/WWII songs/ballads that are perfect for her. I'd love such a CD (I wouldn't mind another R&H CD either).
That would make me very .

It would be an ambitious undertaking, but what a tremendous legacy to leave! The R&H recording was a good start. Before it came out I thought "yes they were great, but not particular favorites of mine", yet I ended up falling in love with that CD and playing it constantly. It really opened up their music to me in a new way. I too would love a second Rodgers and Hammerstein recording to be part of this projected "Great American Songbook" project.
