BroadwayQueen06, It's described as a handwritten note from Bernadette Peters on personal stationary "4 x 6" to Hollywood gossip columnist Radie Harris. The message reads "Well Radie, I loved your book. Thank you for leaving it to me. The chapter on Vivien Leigh was so full of love & friendship & warmth; it was very moving. Your friendship to many of these stars was dear & them to you. I think you're terrific. I'll speak to you soon. Much love, Bernadette" It doesn't say, but I'm assuming the book was "Radie's World" published in 1975 by Putnam.

For those who are curious, the auction for this item ended today, with the winning bid a very impressive $160.29. Wow!

Is it just me or did the description on the auction say she is playing the title role in GYPSY?

Yeah, people often slip up and say title role when they really mean lead role.
