LOL sorry this info doesn't really help, but i just wanted to reply saying that I did hear something like that also, but I don't think it is a rumor.

Minnie Drive as Carlotta
Alan Cumming is going to be in it too, but I forgot who he is going to be playing.
Filming is set to begin in London in October of this year.

Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention... Jane Krajkowski's boyfriend is Charles Hart, the lyricist for Phantom. It would have been great to see her make some sort of apearence in the movie!

I really like period movies and I don't think they make very many good ones anymore. The Importance of Being Earnest was awful in my opinion.

Just to comment that INTO THE WOODS rocks my CD player. Our school just did a production, and I did orchestra pit. And "Giants in the Sky" is the best song in the score. "No More" "Noone Is Alone" run close seconds though Toodle-oo

Registered: 7/24/2003 | posted: 7/24/2003 at 6:24:17 PM ET I don't think there should be a movie of Phantom - it will be a disaster. Such a shame as the original London cast were fantastic. Phantom is a theatre production and should remain such. Also who could improve on Mr Crawford as Erik?
