I also forgot to mention that Liza is doing this show for the Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County. As a special ed. teacher who has kids with CP, this is another reason to attend.

So she's never going to do another Broadway show and she's never going to get married again. She seemed pretty definitive about that.
All in all, I guess the show was probably pretty good publicity for the Liza With A Z DVD release. I can remember watching that special so vividly that it's sometimes hard for me to remember that most people around now have never seen it.

From: northern VA | posted: 3/16/2006 at 11:21:01 AM ET I watched him not too long ago-it was the sixth month mark from Katrina, and I was waiting for Anderson Cooper's broadcast. He was interviewing a family from New Orleans. I forgot the children's names-let's call them Anne and John. He talks to Anne-she's 19 and a freshman at Dillard University (historically black college in New Orleans that is holding classes at a hotel-the campus was badly damaged.). Then he says, "And how's little Anne doing?" Awkward silence. The family just sits there, very confused. You hear someone's voice-a producer?-"John." "How old is little Anne?" "I'm 19," she says-VERY politely. "Oh...well, how is little John?" The younger one (he was 8 or 9, so I'm sure he loved being called "little John." He handled it well-didn't start laughing or anything. I, on the other hand, was cracking up.)
Aggggh. And the younger one was clearly a boy,. Aaron Brown leaves but *he* gets to stay?
I just remember another thing-I think this was the same show. He throws it to Anderson, and Anderson starts his introduction, and makes a comment to Larry, thinking that he would respond. No answer. Anderson tries again-perhaps there was a little mishap and Larry just didn't hear. Silence. Ladies and gentlemen, Larry has left the building. Anderson is obviously trying to keep it together and not burst out laughing.
I love Anderson. Don't...don't start! I am deaf to all that! Deaf, I say!
(And when he is a guest on The Daily Show, my heart just explodes from the all the smart and pretty.)

| posted: 4/1/2006 at 1:23:25 PM ET Liza on Letterman last night was hilarious! She never ceases to amaze me with her humor and talent. Love the song she sang last night. I am anxiously awaiting tonight's showing even though I saw it only 2 weeks ago. Liza withdrawal happens so frequently to me these days. Only three weeks until the concert!

Did you see Gwen Verdon in the audience?
Thank God they were able to find and restore it. Loved every second. Pure adrenaline for Liza and the audience both.
