| posted: 4/27/2005 at 5:29:31 PM ET Hi all! Just returned home from the Tribeca Film festival and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels CD give away (yes, I got one for you Mandy...because I'm nice like that hahaa).
Thought this would be the best place to report the wonderful time I had at "Show Business". The film itself is brillant in tracing the shows Avenue Q, Wicked, Taboo and Caroline or Change from creation to the Tony Awards. Afterwards much to my surprise, Dori Berinstein, Jeanine Tesori and Jeff Marx and Michael Riedel particapated in a Q&A! I was fortunate enough to meet Jeanine afterwards and take a picture and get an autograph. She was so amazingly sweet! As I was walking outside after the film ended, I found myself walking next to Michael Riedel, (I gasped) and as a BP fan couldn't resist asking him about his comments concerning Gypsy and his lunch bet with BP. He responded that she is to cute, petite and doesn't have the vocal abilties to handle an Ethel Merman role. He then asked if I were a BP fan which I repsonded "of course!" to which he said "oh my goodness, will I have Bernadette Peters fans after me now?". I told him he might get want to watch out!!!!! Of course, all in good fun. We laughed and he thanked me for chatting.
Overall, if you have the opportunity to see the show on Friday, do your best to make it there! "Show Business" is sold out but you do have a good chance on the stand-by line as alot of people got stand-by tickets today.

| posted: 4/27/2005 at 6:24:45 PM ET I'm not sure on the specifics but it had something to do with if Bernadette won the Tony because he obviously thought badly of her performance as Mama Rose. Something to that extent...
