hey - sorry if this is a dumb question,
but can the Gypsy piano selection book
be used for other instruments? I'd really
like to get it for my niece. Probably
obvious, but I'm musically illiterate!

No it can't. Instruments are tuned to different keys. Piano is in the key of C. There are some woodwind instruments that are in the key of C. Think maybe the flute is. The saxophone is in the key of E flat, I believe and I'm thinking the clairnet is in the key of B flat. It's been a long time since I've played in a band but those are the keys that come to mind. So you need to find out what instrument your niece plays.

Thanks Moljul! She plays the clarinet, but
not the full sized one...I think it's E flat

She loves the Gypsy CD, so I thought I'd buy
the sheet music, but oh well.

Go to the music store. They may have the Gypsy music for clarinet. You never know.
