oh my gosh i know how you feel! funny girl is like my favorite movie-musical (i know, i feel like a traitor LoL) and i cant wait to see it on broadway!

This really annoys me! How dare they even try to revive it while the woman who created the role is still alive!
I don't know if I will ever be able to bring myself to see it......it would be like cheating on your spouse.

I wonder how they'll cast it; with a relative newcomer or someone more established? Whoever gets the part will have really big shoes to fill. Did anyone here see the recent fundraiser where each scene was done by a different performer? From the reports, it sounded great.

I wanted to go to that fundraiser, but I had to work that night.  I saw a clip from it on "On Stage" and it looked really good.
If they're smart, they'll cast a newcomer (at least someone who has only had ensemble parts). Afterall, Barbra was a newcomer, and look what it did for her.
And really, I can't think of anyone right now who could possibly play the part?
