For those of you who sent donations in Michael's name, have you received any kind of acknowledgement yet from any of the organizations? I know organizations can vary greatly on their timetables and abilities to respond to gifts especially if they received a large number in a short time but I'm hoping my checks reached their intended destinations.

PTM, can you check your bank account online? My check was finalized, that at least I know.

I don't bank online. I still think my computer has some bug. I should be getting my monthly statement soon though. At least I'll know that somebody cashed the checks.

I know that my donation to Standing Tall was cashed very quickly. The one for Broadway Barks has not been cashed as of yet. I know it took a LONG time for them to cash the last batch I sent them for the Broadway Barks donation over the summer. I dont think they cashed them until early August and they were mailed to them in April.
As for an acknowledgement, I've not received anything from either organization as of yet.

THAT would explain why I have extra money in my checking account. lol I couldn't figure out who would be taking this long to cash a check.

I only donated to Standing Tall. However, when we did the Broadway Barks thing in the summer, I did receive a little note from someone...perhaps the Mayor's Alliance? And I did not write a large check.

Yes, the Mayor's Alliance does send out acknowledgements for the donations (I suppose for tax purposes.)

I donated to Standing Tall in Michael's memory and received a letter acknowledging my donation.

They took a couple of weeks to cash my check but when I saw it was cashed online, the letter came within two weeks. Maybe give them until the begining of December (they are probably flooded with donations in memory of Michael and probably don't have the staff to deal with it) and then call or write them saying you never got an acknowledgement - assuming you need it for taxes.
