In reviewing some of the back articles suggested by board members, I came across several postings written by "Christine" from NYC, and realized we haven't heard from her in quite some time - am I right? I enjoyed her reviews and comments and felt she was an intelligent and interesting addition to this board! Where are you, Christine?!

I wondered the same thing. It's always sad when people disappear into the internet void, even though it happens all the time.

I *think* I remember her email address. If I have it correct, then I just emailed her checking to see where she is...hopefully we will hear back from her.

omg, you guys are so sweet.
It's true, I haven't been on here in quite some time.
I went away from ALL message boards for a while. lol I don't know if I just became wrapped up in strictly using Live Journal, and also just wanting to spend time doing other things. I think it was partly that, and partly the whole Message Board thing was becoming too intense for me. When I got to a point where I needed to compulsively check postings (here and other places) I took a huge step back and just examined my priorities. I was starting to care TOO much about what was being said on internet message boards, and that's silly.
I didn't even think people would care that I had left. It's nice to know that some (even if not everyone) actually liked or cared about what I had to say. 
Perhaps I will have to start checking in on here every once in a while.
And yes Mandy, that was/is my email address. So thank you for letting me know that people were wondering what happened to me.

Yay! Welcome back, Christine. I missed you a lot. I know what you mean about getting too compulsive, but I'm so far gone that I don't even worry about it anymore. Hope you will at least stop by and post again occasionally.

Welcome back, Christine! I've been missing you alot, you have great posts on here! You're really sweet Christine!!!!!! Karen, I agree with what you said. Livejournal is fun.
It's an online journal. You make entries as you would in a written one; but you can choose to allow the general public to read what you write or have only your friends (who would also have LJ accounts) read it. You can post pictures, take online quizzes with fun results, converse with friends, allow them to comment in your journal.
My friends and I use that more than AIM or Email most of the time.
There are also communities (like a type of message board) you can join depending on your interests. Like I belong to a Gilmore Girls one and Desperate Housewives, Bette Midler, etc.
I believe there is a Bernadette one? At least I remember seeing one when I first signed up.
